MPC Alliance Announces a New President and Changes To The Board of Directors

The MPC Alliance is pleased to announce that Clarisse Hagège, (Dfns) has been elected by the board to become President of the MPC Alliance, effective March 1, 2025, filling the vacancy that will be created by the departure of Frank Wiener, (Blockdaemon) co-founder and President since founding in 2019. Additional changes in the Board of Directors include the planned departure of Dr. Dan Bogdanov (Cybernetica), the recent addition of Dr. Jay Prakash (Silence Labs), and upcoming addition of Katie DiMento (Blockdaemon).

 “Our goal is to cultivate an ecosystem where MPC technology advances through collective effort, shared expertise, and continuous innovation.” said Clarisse Hagège, incoming President of the MPC Alliance.

“I congratulate Clarisse on her new role as President, and I’d like to thank our current and past members and board members for all of their creativity and hard work in establishing the MPC Alliance and driving broader market awareness and adoption of secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technologies for both data security and data privacy”, said Frank Wiener, retiring President and co-founder of the MPC Alliance. “It has been an honor to lead the alliance but it is time for my next chapter and a new era of leadership at the MPC Alliance.”

The MPC Alliance was formed in 2019 by Frank Wiener, Chief Marketing Officer of Sepior (acquired by Blockdaemon); Omer Shlomovitz, Chief Technology Officer for ZenGo; and Ami Sterling, Director of Marketing for Unbound Tech (acquired by Coinbase). The alliance is backed and supported by dozens of companies ranging from startups to some of the largest institutions in the world. The alliance has held multiple industry events online and will soon be hosting in person events, all with the goal of fostering industry awareness and adoption of MPC technologies.

Effective March 1, 2025 the MPC Alliance leadership shall include: Clairsse Hegège, President and BOD; Brian LaMacchia, Executive Director; Andrei Lapets, Technical Chair and BOD; Jay Prakash, BOD; and Katie DiMento, BOD.

The MPC Alliance is hosting our first annual Real World MPC event, collocated with the Real World Crypto 2025 event at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Sophia, Bulgaria, March 25, 2025. 

This event will include a series of talks and workshops covering:

  • ​Novel protocols/paradigms for MPC

  • ​MPC standardization efforts

  • ​Cryptanalysis of real-world MPC protocols

  • ​Programming languages, software frameworks, and compilers for MPC
